General conditions

Requirements for the hire

• a valid driving licence held for at least three years
• identity document or passport for international customers
• minimum 21 years of age. Exceptions may be possible, to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, subject to a meeting with management

Additional drivers
Any additional driver must be designated and authorised, and must be included into the hire agreement. He/she will be subject to the same restrictions as the addressee of the agreement (age limit, driver’s license held for at least three years)
 

Car pick-up and drop-off

The “car pick-up and drop-off” service to your residence or wherever you are (office, hotel, airport, etc.) is available for all vehicles.
If you choose to pick-up the vehicle at our garage, you can park your own car free for the duration of the hire
You must confirm the place and time of pick-up at least 24 hours in advance, so as to guarantee a punctual and efficient service. Any changes to the agreed schedule made less than 24 hours in advance will incur an extra charge.

Drop-off time
Like no one offers flexibility regarding drop-off time. Generally, hire for one day is 24 hours (e.g. pick-up at 10 a.m. and drop-off at the same time on the morning of the next day), but it is possible to agree on a later delivery at no extra charge (e.g. 1 p.m.). Once set, the agreed hour becomes compulsory, with a maximum leeway of one hour: after this period you will be charged for an extra day.
 

Insurance coverage

All our cars enjoy fully comprehensive third party civil liability, fire and theft insurance.
The insurance does not cover mechanical parts for improper use (e.g. in case of “burnout”, the cost of the tyres and clutch are fully payable by the hirer).
 

Payment procedure and terms

Visa, MasterCard and Maestro circuit are our preferred methods of payment, but all credit cards are accepted. If you agree in advance with administration, it is possible to pay cash or by a bank draft, if you instead opt for a current account cheque you will need to send a copy of the same, duly filled in and signed, at least three days before the hire date. This payment nevertheless remains subject to management approval.

Deposit for damages
Anyone hiring must leave a guarantee deposit for any damage through a preauthorization on a credit card. Any damage to the vehicle found upon its return will be charged against this deposit.
The amount varies according to the type of car hired. If agreed in advance with administration and authorised by management, you may leave a current account cheque or bank draft as a deposit.
 

Cancellation Policy

At the time of booking, a preauthorisation will be requested on the credit card, equivalent to the full hire amount, but the effective charge will be made as soon as you physically take possession of the car.
This is a necessary procedure because the car fleet is small compared to “standard” hire companies.

In any case, you have a cooling-off period of 24 hours from the booking time to change your opinion (unless there are less than 7 days between the booking and the pick-up), after this period cancelling the booking will lead to a penalty of 50% of the total hire cost (this penalty will never be less than € 500, regardless of the amount of the hire).

If you cancel less than 7 days from the hire date, the penalty will be 100%.

At the management’s discretion, if the hire is cancelled due to poor weather causing conditions dangerous to the driver’s safety, there will be no penalty.

There are no exceptions of any type to the mentioned above.
 

Fuel, motorway tolls

Each vehicle is equipped with a telepass system for paying motorway tolls. YOUR FUN is our mission, so you don’t have to waste time in queues or rummage around for loose change. The toll charges will be added to your credit card bill when the vehicle is returned.

You don’t have to refuel when returning. We will deliver the car with a full tank, and you can return it full, empty or anyway you want.
 

Refunds

We do not provide either refunds or time-limited redemption vouchers. Our mission however remains YOUR FUN AND SATISFACTION, therefore if special conditions happen (e.g. very bad weather) you will have a credit for future hires. However, this is only at our discretion (it is not a rule).

If the car experiences a technical problem during the hire or immediately before, we will do all we can to repair the chosen vehicle as soon as possible or else we will replace it with a similar or higher category one at no extra charge.
 

Countries in which you can drive

With our cars you can drive freely throughout Italy including the islands (except if you travel through the Campania Region, in which case it is necessary to leave an additional guarantee deposit against theft).

You may travel to other EU countries and beyond, but only with prior authorisation from management.
 

USES OF THE VEHICLE THAT ARE NOT PERMITTED

It is absolutely prohibited:

• to allow any person without a valid driving licence to drive the vehicle
• to use our cars for any act contrary to the law of the Italian State or of the country in which you are driving
• to use our vehicles for transporting people or goods for payment
• to use our cars for pushing or towing anything
• to use our cars for any type of road or track competition (in this case you will be personally liable, as there is no insurance that will protect against damage caused to the car, to third parties, passengers or otherwise, or to property and animals)
• to use our vehicles in order to teach to someone to drive
• to use our cars on unpaved roads

If you breach the aforementioned rules, we reserve the right to stop the hire and enforce the compulsory collection of the vehicle.
 

Fines

The hirer is financially, civilly and criminally liable for any traffic offences under the Italian highway code or that of the country in which he/she driving for the whole period in which the car is in his/her possession.
 

Mileage

The hire for our whole car fleet includes a daily distance of 150km, unless otherwise agreed when the agreement is drafted (“lump-sum” rates for considerable mileage requirements, subject to management approval). Each additional kilometre will have an extra cost that will be charged when the vehicle is returned. If upon return the car is found to have been driven more than double the permitted mileage, there will be an extra charge for higher wear.
