In 1951 an off-road vehicle entered into production boasting the experience accumulated in the War years and a few years later, in 1958 Nissan confirmed itself at the world level with the victory of a Datsun 210 in the “Mobilgas Round Australia Trial”.
In 1966 the Japanese company merged with the Prince Motor Group, thus also launching the Skyline and Gloria models.
With the passing of the years, the Datsun marque was less and less frequently used and the models began to be marketed directly with the Nissan brand.
Due to a financial crisis, at the end of the 90s Renault bought part of the share capital: this was the start of the Nissan-Renault alliance.
The success of the company is constantly growing and marked by the production of a few special market winners: Micra, Terrano II, and the superior range Infiniti.
Today production ranges from city cars to sports cars, and from classic off-road vehicles to modern SUVs and commercial vehicles.
